The Differences That Matter
Cost
For 10 full users, Odoo Standard costs $1,074 a year and Business Central Essentials $9,600. Business Central narrows the gap when many people only need to approve or view, since Team Members cost $8 a month each.
The Microsoft advantage
Business Central opens records from Outlook, exports to Excel and shares in Teams, and many accountants already know it. If your company lives in Microsoft 365, that familiarity is worth real money in training time.
Breadth
Odoo keeps website, online store, email marketing, helpdesk and field service in the same system. With Business Central those come from other Microsoft products or third parties, each with its own license.
Buying and support
Business Central is sold and supported through Microsoft partners. Odoo can be bought directly, with partners for implementation. Either way, the partner's quality matters more than the brand.
