How Much Does Odoo Implementation Cost in 2026?

Odoo costs a per-user license plus the work to set it up. On Odoo's US price list the license is $8.95 per user a month on the Standard plan and $16.40 on the Custom plan, billed yearly. Implementation, which covers setting up the apps, moving your data, connecting other systems and training your team, is usually the larger part of the first-year bill. For a small business on a fixed-price package, the first year typically lands between a few thousand and a few tens of thousands of dollars, depending on scope.

The Four Parts of the Bill

1. The license

Odoo publishes its prices. At the time of writing, the US plans are:

Odoo discounts the first year to $7.25 on Standard and $13.40 on Custom, billed yearly, for the users on your first order.

2. Hosting

The Standard plan runs only on Odoo Online, and hosting is included. The Custom plan lets you host on Odoo.sh, Odoo's own platform, or on your own servers, which adds a hosting cost of its own.

3. Implementation

This is where most of the money goes: mapping how you work, setting up each app, building any custom modules, moving your data and training people. It scales with the number of apps, users, integrations and records, not with the license.

4. Support after go-live

Updates, small changes and help when something breaks. Some businesses handle this in house; others keep a partner on a monthly plan.

A Worked Example: 10 Users

Here is the software cost for a 10-person company after Odoo's first-year discount ends:

• Standard: 10 users x $8.95 x 12 months = $1,074 a year (Odoo pricing)
• Custom: 10 users x $16.40 x 12 months = $1,968 a year (Odoo pricing)

Add implementation on top. On our fixed-price packages, a company using up to 3 apps with 15 users pays $6,000 once, and one using up to 7 apps with data migration and two integrations pays $15,000 once. The license is then the main running cost.

What Pushes the Price Up

• Custom modules. Anything Odoo does not do out of the box needs development, and the Custom plan.
• Integrations. Connecting your online store, payment provider, shipping or accounting systems.
• Data migration. Moving products, customers, open orders and balances from spreadsheets or an old system. Messy data takes longer.
• Several companies or countries. Multi-company setups need more configuration and the Custom plan.
• Manufacturing. Bills of materials, routings and costing take care to set up right, because production and pricing depend on them.

How Long It Takes

Timelines follow scope. On our packages, up to 3 apps go live in 30 days and up to 7 apps with data migration in 60 days, with the date in writing; larger builds with custom modules get a date agreed in scoping. The steps are the same at every size:

1. Map how you work. Walk through orders, stock, production, purchasing and reporting as they happen today.
2. Set up and configure. Switch on the apps, set up products, warehouses, taxes and users.
3. Build what is missing. Custom modules and integrations, only where Odoo's standard apps fall short.
4. Move the data. Import products, customers, suppliers, open orders and balances, then check them.
5. Train and go live. Short sessions for each role, a dry run, then the switch.

Most delays come from data and decisions, not software: product lists that need cleaning, or processes nobody has written down.

Questions to Ask Before You Sign

• Which apps are in scope, and which are not?
• Is the price fixed for that scope, and how are changes priced?
• Who moves the data, and how is it checked?
• Which Odoo plan do we need, and why?
• What happens after go-live, and what does support cost?
• Is the go-live date in writing?

A partner who answers these plainly, in writing, is worth more than a lower day rate.

How to Get an Accurate Quote

1. List the apps you need now and in the next year.
2. Count the users who will log in, and which of them only look things up.
3. List every system Odoo must connect to.
4. Collect samples of the data you want to move.
5. Ask for a fixed price for that scope and a go-live date in writing.
